Our Story | The Gothimore

Every house has a story. Ours began in the shadows.

The Gothimore was born from a love of old-world beauty, forgotten rituals, botanical traditions, and the quiet magick found in the objects we choose to surround ourselves with.

But its story began long before there was ever a name above the door.

For me, the unseen was never something to fear.

I grew up with an awareness of the spiritual world, ancestral traditions and abilities passed through generations, and a deep reverence for those who came before us.

The Ancestors, the dead, were never simply figures belonging to the past.

They were part of our story.

That relationship with the unseen eventually grew into my own lifelong study and practice of the occult: astrology, tarot, oracle, divination, ancestral magick, and the mysteries surrounding death and what may exist beyond it.

Even my love of the macabre comes from that same place.

I have never believed darkness must mean something sinister.

There can be extraordinary beauty in old cemeteries, mourning traditions, dried botanicals, candlelight, antique objects, ravens, bones, forgotten books, and the rituals human beings have created for centuries to honor life, death, memory, and the unknown.

It was within that world that XyaGoth, Madame of The Gothimore, came to life.

Not simply as a name, but as the keeper of the House.

And eventually, The Gothimore became the place where all of these pieces of my life could exist beneath one roof: beauty and the macabre, botanicals and ritual, divination and curiosity, the living and the remembered.

Here, a simple evening can become a ritual.
A bottle on your vanity can become an heirloom.
A cup of tea can become a moment of stillness.
A deck of cards can become a conversation with yourself or perhaps something beyond yourself.

But The Gothimore was never intended to be mine alone.

It was founded not only as a business, but as a family House.

Alongside me stand my daughters, co-founders, heirs, and the next generation entrusted with carrying its traditions forward.

What we build today is intended to outlive us.

The House belongs not only to those who created it, but to those who will one day inherit it.

That is why, above all, The Gothimore is being built with legacy in mind.

I wanted to create something capable of living beyond a single collection, a single shop, or even a single lifetime.

A House with traditions of its own.

Something that can be inherited, cared for, expanded, and eventually entrusted to the generation that follows.

Because the things we leave behind are not always possessions.

Sometimes they are stories.

Sometimes they are rituals.

Sometimes they are names.

And sometimes, if we are fortunate, we leave behind an entire House.

Welcome to The Gothimore.

May you find something here worth carrying with you.
